Werribee Open Range Zoo is an African themed zoo which offers a unique opportunity to experience an African adventure closer to home and encounter the magnificent animals of the African savannah.
The 200 hectare property is home to some of Africa’s most iconic animals, as well as wildlife from the grasslands of Asia, North America and Australia.
All this, in an open range environment where the animals are given the space to behave as they would in their natural habitats.
People who are hard of hearing or Deaf can experience the zoo and safari tours using OpenAccess Tours.
An interactive teacher/student learning kit is also available on loan for accessible school excursions at Werribee Open Range Zoo,
With audio, Auslan and captions this kit aims to improve learning outcomes for all students. Please contact the zoo prior to your arrival to secure your place.
