A speech impaired person finds speech and communication either difficult or not possible*

We endeavour to better understand the day to day barriers of people with speech impairment. These challenges can include:

Communication preferences for speech impaired:

In Australia, spoken English. Assistive technologies can provide supplementary speaking capacity, or even make communication possible.

Approach to technology:

People who are speech impaired may prefer to use technology which assists with speech delivery (for example, a speech generating device).
